British producers/songwriters/musicians duo Jungle (Josh Lloyd and Tom McFarland) announced their third album as The soundtrack to a new summer of love. Loving In Stereo should thus celebrate the end of the lockdown, although it appears we are not yet rid of the infamous virus. Musically, however, the record does offer a series of life-affirming, dancefloor-igniting, sun-drenched, irresistibly joyful tracks heavily influenced by disco.
The duo debuted in 2014 with a self-titled album and immediately managed to capture attention, not least through their excellent live show, which was seen at many festivals. The success consolidated with the 2018 release For Ever and both albums enjoyed a positive response and high sales figures. In the past year, the gentlemen - like many musicians - have locked themselves away in the studio for the new album. The change of course to disco with catchy hooks, fat synthesizers and solid beats should give the listener a euphoric feeling and they have succeeded well.
