Audiophile repress from 1983: Second album of the Scottish guitar pop band.It does contain the two classics "Sugar Hiccup" and "Musette And Dreams", yet the second album "Head Over Heels", originally released in 1983, is probably the Cocteau Twins' most difficult work to access. But if you are patient enough to get involved with the fascinating sounds, you will be richly rewarded, each song is a small, melancholic-dreamy work of art in its own right that wants to be discovered. "Head Over Heels" was created as a pure duo effort by Elizabeth Fraser (vocals) and Robin Guthrie (guitar, bass, drums), as the third founding member, bassist Will Heggie, had joined alternative band Lowlife shortly before the album was recorded .After a tour through Great Britain with OMD at the turn of the year 1982/83 and collaborations with This Mortal Coil, among others, the ground was laid for a successful album release - "Head Over Heels" was the starting signal for a decade whose sound the Cocteau Twins decisively shaped. The remastered re-release comes on 180-gram vinyl with download code.
