Madison Cunningham – Revealer

Describing the music of American singer/songwriter and guitarist Madison Cunningham, born in 1996, is no easy task. Although her songs are delighting a growing number of listeners, it's not easy to pigeonhole the artist into one of the infamous categories. Rolling Stone came pretty close to a good explanation when it described her as "a new spin on West Coast folk-rock, with classical tendencies, electric guitars, jazz-school chord changes and alt-rock strut all living under the same roof." Guitar Player writes: "Cunningham's playing is a tour de force of melodic chord voicings and bold rhythmic choices".

Madison Cunningham's second album on Verve Forecast impressively documents her artistic development, and for the first time includes Mike Elizondo (50 Cent, Eminem, Carrie Underwood, Fiona Apple) as a musical collaborator.
