Galapagos Duck

The Galapagos Duck is a Chilean band from Santiago. The group was formed in 1996 by songwriter/guitarist/vocalist Javiera Carrasco, bassist Antonio Ruz and drummer Claudio González. In the early 2000s they became one of the most important bands in the Chilean indie rock scene.

The band has released four albums: "La Buena Vida" (2001), "El Tercer Ojo" (2003), "Vuelta a la Tierra" (2006) and "Nuevo Sol" (2009).

Some of the band's most popular songs are "Cariño", "Girasol", "Después de las Diez", "Misterio", "La Buena Vida" and "Hacia Atrás".

An interesting fact about the band is that they are named after a species of duck that can be found in the Galapagos Islands.
