Hank Williams Jr., born Randall Hank Williams in 1949, is a legendary country singer and songwriter. His style of music has been described as “rowdy, boisterous and occasionally rebellious.” He is the son of country music star Hank Williams, and has had numerous hits over the course of his long career. Williams' career began in the early 1960s when he released his first single, “Long Gone Lonesome Blues.” This song became a top-10 hit and helped to launch his career. His breakthrough album was 1975’s “Hank Williams Jr. and Friends” which featured the hit song “Family Tradition.” Other standout albums of his career include “Habits Old and New” (1980), “Montana Cafe” (1986), “Five-O” (1989), and “Lone Wolf” (1992). His songs have been covered by many other artists, including Bob Dylan, Kid Rock, John Mellencamp, and Bruce Springsteen. Notable singles of his include “A Country Boy Can Survive,” “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight,” “I'm One of You,” “The Conversation,” and “There's a Tear in My Beer.” An interesting fact about Hank Williams Jr. is that he has been inducted into both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He has also won numerous awards, including seven Grammy Awards and nine CMA Awards. He is also known for his outspoken views and his support of President Donald Trump.
