Maggie Rogers – Surrender

The Easton, Maryland native's new project was recorded in a variety of locations, from Electric Lady Studios in New York City to Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios near Bath to her parents' garage.

A statement about the album says it "fully captures the frenetic intensity of the last two years of her life, bringing her refreshing honesty to stories of anger and peace and self-redemption, transcendence through sex and freedom through letting go.

Rogers' fierce, fearless vulnerability leaves her plenty of room to explore and embody the most complex emotions, transforming all those heightened feelings into her most joyous work yet: a work built for the sweaty immediacy of live performance, raw and revealing and ready for shared devotion."
