Twenty-five years have passed since Sleater-Kinney formed in the wake of the Riot Grrrl movement. but in 2019, the trio still has plenty to say: here's their new album, "The Center Won't Hold."
This is already the band's ninth long player, the highly anticipated follow-up to 2015's "No Cities To Love."
Corin Tucker, Carrie Brownstein and Janet Weiss recorded eleven songs for "The Center Won't Hold". For drummer Janet Weiss, however, it was the last recording with the band. She announced her departure from the band for July 1, 2019.
Sleater-Kinney produced their new album this time with none other than Annie Clark aka St. Vincent.
How the result sounds, they revealed in advance with the singles "Hurry On Home" and "The Future Is Here".
And they show: Between indie rock and post-punk, riffs and melodies, Sleater-Kinney still have a lot to offer. If you want to see for yourself, you can easily order "The Center Won't Hold" online now.
