A classic jazz-funk fusion record by the great Japanese guitarist Ryo Kawasaki. Recorded in New York and originally released in 1976, "Juice" presents Ryo at the peak of his powers A forward-thinking and constantly evolving musician, Ryo collaborated with Roland Corporation and Korg on the "guitar synthesizer" and later wrote music software for computers.
"Juice" became a popular album for crate diggers and jazz-funk enthusiasts, with tracks often sampled and reinterpreted in hip-hop
The album features drummer Jimmy Young, rhythm guitarist Hugh McCracken and bassist Stu Woods. A great album from an underground legend.
