Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons Vinyl Records

Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons is an Australian rock band from Melbourne, Australia. The band was formed in 1977 by songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Joe Camilleri and Paul Gray. The band had a number of hits in the Australian music charts in the late 1970s and early 1980s, including their biggest hit "Hit and Run" which reached number one on the Australian music charts.

The band released their debut album Screaming Targets in 1979, which was an instant success and became the biggest selling Australian album of the year. The album contained the hit single "Hit and Run" as well as the singles "Shape I'm In" and "Taxi Mary". Their follow-up album, The Guns of Navarone, was released in 1981 and contained the hit singles "Walk on the Wild Side" and "Taxi Mary".

In 1982 the band released the album Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons which featured the single "Hit and Run" and other hits such as "Dance" and "Tear It Up". The album was a success and earned the band a place in the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2004.

In addition to their studio albums, the band also released a number of live albums, including Live at the Last Night of the Proms (1987), Live in Concert (1989) and Live at the Basement (1994).

An interesting fact about Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons is that their single "Hit and Run" was the first Australian single to be released on the newly formed Mushroom Records label in 1978.
