Joe Cocker (1944-2014) was an English singer and musician known for his gruff and powerful blues-rock vocal style. Cocker's most successful album was his 1986 release, Unchain My Heart, which reached number two in the US and number one in the UK and spawned the hit singles "Unchain My Heart," "When the Night Comes," and "You Can Leave Your Hat On." His last studio album, Fire It Up (2012), reached number eight in the UK.
