Jonny Greenwood
Jonny Greenwood is an English musician and composer best known for being the lead guitarist, keyboardist, and occasional lead vocalist for the iconic rock band Radiohead. He has also composed soundtracks for a number of feature films, most notably the score for the critically acclaimed film, There Will Be Blood.
Greenwood's career began when he joined Radiohead in 1991. He wrote and performed on the band's first six albums, including the breakout album, OK Computer, which is often considered one of the best albums of all time. Other standout Radiohead albums featuring Greenwood include Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows, and A Moon Shaped Pool.
Greenwood's standout songs with Radiohead include “Paranoid Android”, “Karma Police”, “No Surprises”, “Everything in Its Right Place”, and “Pyramid Song”.
An interesting fact about Jonny Greenwood is that he is an accomplished classical composer, having written works such as “48 Responses to Polymorphia” and “Popcorn Superhet Receiver” for the BBC Concert Orchestra. He has also composed the scores for several feature films, including There Will Be Blood and Bodysong.
