Lacy J. Dalton is an American country singer and songwriter. She has released over a dozen studio albums throughout her career, and is best known for her hits "16th Avenue", "Takin' It Easy" and "Crazy Blue Eyes".

Dalton began her musical career in the early 1970s. She released her debut album, Lacy J. Dalton, in 1978 and followed it up with 1979's "Lacy J.". Her 1981 album, "Shot Full of Love", was her breakthrough release, reaching the Top 10 of the Billboard Country Albums chart. Her biggest success came in 1982 with her fourth album, "Crazy Blue Eyes", which featured the hit singles "16th Avenue" and "Takin' It Easy". The album reached number two on the Billboard Country Albums chart and was certified gold.

Dalton released several more albums throughout the 1980s, including "Highways and Heartaches" (1984), "Lucky Stars" (1985) and "Blue Eyed Soul" (1986). In 1989, she released the album "Lacy J.," which featured the hit single "Black Coffee".

An interesting fact about Lacy J. Dalton is that she was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2019.
