LL Cool J

LL Cool J, born James Todd Smith, is a Grammy-winning American rapper, actor, author, and entrepreneur from Queens, New York. LL Cool J is one of the most iconic hip hop artists of all time and is credited for pioneering the genre of rap music. His career in the music industry began in 1985 when he released his debut album Radio. The album was an instant hit and featured some of LL Cool J’s most popular singles including “I Can’t Live Without My Radio” and “Rock The Bells”.

LL Cool J has released a total of fourteen studio albums throughout his career and has earned four Grammy Awards. Some of his standout albums include Walking With A Panther (1989), Mama Said Knock You Out (1990), 14 Shots to the Dome (1993), and G.O.A.T. (2000). LL Cool J is also known for his collaborations with other hip hop legends such as Tupac Shakur, Method Man, and Redman.

An interesting fact about LL Cool J is that he is the first hip hop artist to ever be nominated for a Grammy award. He was nominated for Best Rap Solo Performance for his song “I Can’t Live Without My Radio” in 1986. He would go on to win his first Grammy award in 1997 for his single “Hey Lover”.
