Monty Python
Monty Python is a British comedy troupe formed in 1969. It consists of John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Michael Palin, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Terry Gilliam. The group is best known for their sketch comedy television series Monty Python's Flying Circus which aired from 1969 to 1974.
Monty Python released four studio albums: Monty Python's Flying Circus (1970), Another Monty Python Record (1971), Monty Python's Previous Record (1972), and The Monty Python Matching Tie and Handkerchief (1973). Some of their most famous songs include “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life”, “Spam”, and “The Lumberjack Song”.
An interesting fact about Monty Python is that the troupe was nominated for an Academy Award for their 1979 film Monty Python's Life of Brian.
