My Bloody Valentine is an alternative rock band from Ireland that was formed in 1983. The original lineup included Kevin Shields (guitar, vocals), Colm Ó Cíosóig (drums), Debbie Googe (bass), and Dave Conway (vocals). The band's sound is characterized by a noisy, distorted wall of sound, which was largely developed through Shields' use of guitar feedback and production techniques. My Bloody Valentine's breakout album was their second full-length, Loveless, which was released in 1991.
