Fusion pianist and two-time Grammy winner Bob James, who is also a member of the fusion quartet "Fourplay", worked as a pianist and arranger for jazz legend Sarah Vaughan in the 1960s. between 1974 and 1977, he released four genre-defining albums that enjoy cult status in the scene today: "One", "Two", "Three" and "BJ4".
by chance, "Two" also made a name for itself in a musical genre that was rather foreign to James, hip-hop: the intro to the Paul Simon cover "Take Me to the Mardi Gras" contained on the album became one of the most quoted hip-hop breakbeat samples and was made a piece of pop music by Run D. M.C. a piece of pop culture. His 2023 album "Jazz Hands", which will also be released by Evolution Music, is nominated for the next GRAMMY.
The edition comes to you in gold-colored vinyl.
