"Into The Labyrinth" was originally released in 1993 as Dead Can Dance's sixth album. It became the most successful publication of the group around Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry. The title refers to the Greek legend of Theseus who went into the labyrinth to kill the Minotaur. At the same time, it also marks a turning point in the work of the band, which is still pioneering today: Perry and Gerrard wrote their songs for the first time independently of each other and on different continents, but recorded the album completely without guests - also a novelty. Then the two Australians tackled solo work and other projects, only one studio album was released until 2012, when they returned with 'Anastasis'. Brendan Perry developed and produced "Into The Labyrinth" in his Quivvy Church studio in Ireland, where he still works today.Dead Can Dance were often dissatisfied with the sound of their recordings at the beginning of their career, but here they have achieved the optimum. Like the CD version, the newly released double LP is still an audiophile benchmark. In addition, the breathtakingly beautiful sounds were given a brand new cover artwork and a changed title sequence on their way through the maze.
