  • War On Drugs: "Lost In The Dream" - the indie rock band is back on track again

Two years after her extensively celebrated masterpiece "Slave Ambient" (2011), her new album "Lost In The Dream" has now been released. The record is the third album of the Philadelphia band The War On Drugs

"Lost In The Dream" is the new complete piece of the band around Adam Granduciel, whose founding member Kurt Vile is now solo on the road. The long-awaited and deserved breakthrough came with the release of War On Drugs' last album "Slave Ambient" in 2011

In the past two years the band toured the USA. From North Carolina to New York City, they played in all rock clubs, as well as at countless festivals and late-night TV shows that America has to offer. With the gained experience of this long tour, Granduciel worked together with producer Jeff Zeigler (Lymbyc Systym, Kurt Vile and others) on the new, third album. The band also includes Dave Hartley (bass) and Robbie Bennet (piano and others), who also belong to Granduciel's closest environment in their private lives

Adam Granduciel himself says about the new record: "I wanted it to be a project among friends. Everyone in the band takes our project seriously. This is also what our album is about - friendship, growing up, living life and helping each other." You can also hear this personal and professional development very well in the sound of the band. Apart from that, Adam Granduciel is not only head of the indie rock band War On Drugs, but also has an unmistakable voice to communicate to the world

With "Lost In The Dream" the band War On Drugs again offers multi-layered music, fresh and bright. The new record represents her most catchy and poppy work to date.

    Reviews

"Great epic rock songs by postmodern traditionalists." (Rolling Stone,
    April 2014)

"Dreampop, US-Mainstream and Krautrock: The third album of the Philadelphia band combines these contrasts to an amazingly homogeneous and almost disturbingly beautiful sound concept." (Audio, May 2014)
