Nu Metal

Nu Metal is a subgenre of alternative metal that combines elements of heavy metal, hip-hop, and alternative rock. It is characterized by downtuned guitars, rap-inspired vocals, and syncopated grooves. It originated in the late 1990s and early 2000s and gained mainstream popularity in the early 2000s. Nu Metal bands are often credited with bringing heavy metal back into the mainstream and influencing the direction of metal music in the 21st century. Popular Nu Metal bands include Limp Bizkit, Korn, Slipknot, and Linkin Park.
