Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark Vinyl Records

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (OMD) is a synthpop band from the UK, formed in 1978 by Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys. The band has released 14 studio albums and over 50 singles, making them one of the most successful synthpop bands of all time. Their biggest hits include “Enola Gay”, “Dreaming”, “Maid of Orleans”, “Souvenir”, and “If You Leave”.

Their standout albums include their debut album, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (1980), which featured the hit single “Enola Gay”, and their 1983 album Dazzle Ships, which featured the hits “Telegraph” and “Genetic Engineering”. Other notable albums include Architecture & Morality (1981), Junk Culture (1984) and Crush (1985).

An interesting fact about OMD is that the band was originally called "VCL XI", after the eleven members of the band at the time. However, they eventually decided to shorten the name to OMD and the rest is history.
