Randy Crawford
Randy Crawford is an American jazz and R&B singer who was born in 1952 in Macon, Georgia. She began her singing career at the age of 16, performing at clubs around her hometown. In 1975, she signed with Warner Bros. Records and released her debut album, Everything Must Change. The album yielded the hit single, "One Day I'll Fly Away," which has become her signature song.
Crawford released a string of successful albums over the next two decades, including Secret Combination (1981), Rich and Poor (1989), and Naked and True (1995). She also collaborated with numerous other artists, including Joe Sample, Average White Band, and The Crusaders. Her most recent album, No Regrets, was released in 2017.
Crawford's most successful songs include "One Day I'll Fly Away," "Almaz," "You Might Need Somebody," and "Rainy Night in Georgia." She has won multiple Grammy Awards, including Best Jazz Vocal Performance for "Street Life" (1980) and Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for "Almaz" (1986).
