The debut album from The Last Dinner Party. Yes, there are corsets, there is lace and velvet, stockings, suspenders and synchronized clapping, but at the core of this band are lush, globe-trotting pop songs that sound as big as a universe and encompass the universality of human emotion. Fittingly, 'Prelude To Ecstasy' was recorded in a converted north London church with the help of star producer James Ford and is both the conclusion of one introductory chapter and the beginning of the next.
