Rita Coolidge

Rita Coolidge is a two-time Grammy Award winning American singer-songwriter and musician. She is best known for her hit songs, including “(Your Love Has Lifted Me) Higher and Higher,” “We’re All Alone,” and “The Way You Do the Things You Do.” She has released over twenty studio albums since her debut in 1972, and has charted numerous singles, including eleven that have reached the Top 40.

Coolidge's most successful album to date is 1977's Anytime… Anywhere, which reached number five on the Billboard album chart and featured the Top 10 hit single “(Your Love Has Lifted Me) Higher and Higher.” Her other standout albums include It’s Only Love (1980), Anytime… Anywhere (1977), and Nice Feelin' (1979).

An interesting fact about Coolidge is that she was married to Kris Kristofferson from 1973 to 1980 and the two collaborated on several albums and songs, including "Lover Please" and "A Song I'd Like To Sing."
