In Rainbows is a very strong record, as we are used to from Radiohead. The album can best be described as the calmer brother of Hail To The Thief, on which Radiohead seems to have found its style and gives a sample of what they stand for in ten songs. Sometimes quite hectic (15 Step, Bodysnatchers, Jigsaw Falling Into Place), but also with dragging, atmospheric songs like Nude (which has been played live for a long time) and Videotape. Highlights: Faust Arp, relying on only an acoustic guitar and beautiful strings arrangement, the brooding House Of Cards, with a Bono-esque falsetto in the background, and the sophisticated Weird Fishes / Argpeggi.
