Ron Goodwin
Ron Goodwin (1925-2003) was an English composer and conductor best known for his film scores and light music. He studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and made his debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in 1947. Goodwin was renowned for his compositional skill and ability to evoke emotion with his music.
Some of Goodwin's most memorable albums include 633 Squadron (1964), Battle of Britain (1969), Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines (1965), and Where Eagles Dare (1968). His most popular songs include "March From 633 Squadron" and the theme for the 1965 film Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines.
An interesting fact about Goodwin is that he wrote the music for the 1960 film The Time Machine, which was adapted from the 1895 novel of the same name by H.G. Wells.
