Rosanne Cash
Rosanne Cash is an American singer-songwriter and author. She is the eldest daughter of country music legend Johnny Cash and his first wife, Vivian Liberto Cash Distin.
Her career began in the late 1970s with the release of her debut album, Right or Wrong. The album contained the minor hit “No Memories Hangin’ Round,” a duet with her father, Johnny Cash. Her subsequent albums, Seven Year Ache (1981) and King’s Record Shop (1987), featured a mix of country, rock, and folk music, and became critical and commercial successes.
Cash’s most popular albums include Interiors (1990), The Wheel (1993), and Rules of Travel (2003). Notable songs from her discography include “Seven Year Ache,” “Tennessee Flat Top Box,” “Runaway Train,” “The Wheel,” “The Way We Make a Broken Heart,” and “Modern Blue.”
In addition to her music, Cash is also an author. She has written four books: Composed (2010), Bodies of Water (2012), The List (2015), and She Remembers Everything (2018).
An interesting fact about Rosanne Cash is that she is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and has won 11 Grammy Awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020.
