Rose Royce Vinyl Records

Rose Royce is an American soul and R&B group, best known for their chart-topping hit single "Car Wash" and their albums Car Wash and Rose Royce II: In Full Bloom. The group was formed in 1975 in Los Angeles, California, and was originally composed of lead singer Gwen Dickey and a group of studio musicians known as the "Car Wash" Band.

Their first album, Car Wash, was released in 1976 and was a commercial success, reaching number one on the US Billboard R&B chart and number nine on the Billboard 200. It spawned two top 10 singles, the aforementioned "Car Wash" and "I Wanna Get Next to You". The album was certified gold in the US and later went on to become one of the best-selling soundtracks of all time.

Rose Royce II: In Full Bloom was released in 1977 and featured the hit single "Wishing on a Star", which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart and number ten on the Billboard Hot 100. The album also featured the song "Love Don't Live Here Anymore", which was later covered by Madonna.

In addition to their two albums, Rose Royce has released several compilation albums, including Greatest Hits and Magic Touch: The Best of Rose Royce.

An interesting fact about Rose Royce is that the group had its first major success when they were chosen to provide the backing music for the 1976 blaxploitation film Car Wash. This led to their hit single and album of the same name.
