Scott Walker
Scott Walker is an English-born American singer-songwriter, composer, and record producer. He began his career as a part of the successful pop group The Walker Brothers, which had a number of hits in the mid-1960s. After the group disbanded in 1967, Walker pursued a solo career that spanned over five decades and was highly acclaimed by critics.
Walker's standout albums include his first four solo albums Scott, Scott 2, Scott 3 and Scott 4, released between 1967 and 1969. These albums are considered some of his best work and were all praised by critics.
Walker's most notable songs include “The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore”, “Montague Terrace (In Blue)”, and “Jackie”.
An interesting fact about Scott Walker is that he was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2006 for his album The Drift. He was the first artist to be nominated for a solo album after the Prize was established in 1992.
