Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff Vinyl Records
Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff (1873-1943) was a Russian composer, pianist, and conductor. He is considered one of the greatest composers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He was born in Semyonovo, Novgorod Oblast, and began studying music at an early age. His works were heavily influenced by the music of Tchaikovsky, Chopin, and Liszt.
Rachmaninoff's most famous works include the Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, the Symphony No. 2 in E minor, and the Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor. His most popular songs include "Vocalise," "Prelude in C-sharp minor," and "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini."
An interesting fact about Rachmaninoff is that he was the first composer to write a concerto for piano and orchestra without any strings. He also wrote a number of solo piano pieces, including the Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor and the famous Prelude in C-sharp minor.
