Silver Convention

Silver Convention was a German disco and pop group from Munich, Germany. They are best known for their hit single "Fly, Robin, Fly" which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1975. The group was formed in 1973 by producers/songwriters Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay. Their lineup consisted of lead vocalist Penny McLean and backup singers Ramona Wulf and Rhonda Heath.

The group released their debut album, Save Me, in 1975 and it became an instant success, reaching the Top 10 in both the US and the UK. The album featured the hit singles "Get Up and Boogie" and "Fly, Robin, Fly", which topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and reached the Top 5 in the UK. Their follow-up album, Love in a Sleeper, was released in 1976 and featured the single "Tiger Baby", which was another Top 10 hit in the US and the UK.

Silver Convention's most successful album was their 1977 release, Madhouse, which featured the single "Cake-Walk". The album reached the Top 10 in the US and the UK, and the single reached the Top 20 in both countries. Their final album, Hollywood Nights, was released in 1979 and featured the singles "Satisfaction" and "Love in a Sleeper".

An interesting fact about Silver Convention is that their song "Fly, Robin, Fly" was the first disco single to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
