Spooky Tooth was an English rock band that was formed in 1967 in Yorkshire, England. The original lineup consisted of vocalist Mike Harrison, keyboardist/guitarist Gary Wright, guitarist Luther Grosvenor, bassist Greg Ridley, and drummer Mike Kellie. Spooky Tooth’s debut album, It’s All About, was released in 1968 and featured their psychedelic rock hit “That Was Only Yesterday”. The band's second album, Spooky Two, was released the following year and was critically acclaimed. It featured the hit single “Waiting for the Wind”, which was the band's biggest hit. Other standout tracks from the album include “Evil Woman” and “Better by You, Better Than Me”. Spooky Tooth’s third album, Ceremony, was released in 1969 and included the single “Evil Woman”, which was their highest charting single in the UK. The album also featured the track “I Am the Walrus”, which was later covered by the Beatles. The band’s fourth album, The Last Puff, was released in 1970 and featured the single “That Was Only Yesterday”. Other tracks from the album include “The Wrong Time”, “Feelin' Bad” and “Lost in My Dream”. An interesting fact about Spooky Tooth is that the band was one of the first British rock bands to tour the United States. They toured extensively across the US in 1968 and 1969 and played at venues such as the Fillmore East in New York City and the Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles.
