Stereolab is an English-French alternative rock and avant-pop band formed in London in 1990 by Tim Gane and Lætitia Sadier. The band is known for its mix of krautrock, lounge, 1960s pop, and avant-garde electronic music. They have released 10 studio albums, numerous EPs, and singles throughout their career.

Stereolab's standout albums include Transient Random-Noise Bursts with Announcements (1993), Emperor Tomato Ketchup (1996), Dots and Loops (1997), and Cobra and Phases Group Play Voltage in the Milky Night (1999). They have also released several well-known singles, including "French Disko", "Ping Pong", "Miss Modular", and "Metronomic Underground".

An interesting fact about Stereolab is that they were the first band to be signed to the 4AD label in more than a decade when they joined in 1992.
