Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble Vinyl Records
Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble were an American blues rock band formed in Austin, Texas in 1978. The band was composed of vocalist and guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan, drummer Chris Layton, bassist Tommy Shannon, and keyboardist Reese Wynans. They are known for their blues-rock sound, and their live performances are widely recognized as some of the best in the genre.
The band's first two albums, Texas Flood (1983) and Couldn't Stand the Weather (1984), are widely considered classics of the genre. Standout songs include “Pride and Joy,” “Love Struck Baby,” “Cold Shot,” and “The House Is Rockin’.”
The band's last album, In Step (1989), was released just weeks before Vaughan's untimely death. It was their most successful album and featured the single “Crossfire,” which reached number one on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. Other standout songs from the album include “Tightrope” and “Leave My Girl Alone.”
An interesting fact about the band is that, in 2004, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They were the first act to be inducted primarily for their work in the blues genre.
