The Amazing Rhythm Aces (also known as the Aces) are an American rock band that was founded in Memphis, Tennessee in 1972. The original lineup included Russell Smith (lead vocals), Barry "Byrd" Burton (guitar), Jeff Autry (guitar), Billy Earheart (bass) and Roger Hooper (drums). The band achieved mainstream success in the mid-1970s with their unique blend of country, rock and blues, and were best known for their singles "Third Rate Romance" and "Amazing Grace (Used to Be Her Favorite Song)".

The band's first album, Stacked Deck, was released in 1975 and featured the hit singles "Third Rate Romance" and "The End Is Not in Sight (The Cowboy Tune)". The band followed this up with 1976's Toucan Do It Too, which included the single "Amazing Grace (Used to Be Her Favorite Song)". 1977's Burning the Ballroom Down featured the single "The Uptown Train" and the 1979 album The Amazing Rhythm Aces featured the single "The Prince of Peace".

The band has released a total of twelve studio albums and their most recent, The Amazing Rhythm Aces, was released in 2017.

An interesting fact about the band is that in addition to their mainstream success, they also had a successful career as songwriters, writing and producing hits for other artists including Bob Seger and George Jones.
