The Cockroaches

The Cockroaches are an Australian rock band formed in Sydney, Australia in 1985 by brothers Paul and John Field and singer/guitarist Tony Featherstone.

Their first album, The Cockroaches, was released in 1987 and featured the hit single “She's the One”, which reached #2 on the Australian singles chart. Other notable singles include “I Remember When I Was Young”, “Living in a Box”, “(Baby) Let's Kiss” and “Jumping Jack Flash”.

Their second album, Beat of the Rising Sun, was released in 1989 and featured the single “Mama”, which reached #7 on the Australian singles chart.

Their third and final album, Never Say Never, was released in 1993 and featured the single “Friday Night”, which reached #11 on the Australian singles chart.

The Cockroaches are best known for their classic rock sound and catchy melodies. They were also one of the first Australian bands to be signed to a major label in the United States.

An interesting fact about the band is that they have a dedicated fan base in Japan, where they have sold millions of records over the years.
