The London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) is one of the world's oldest and most prestigious orchestras, having been founded in 1904. The LSO has also made its mark on popular music, having collaborated with a variety of artists, including Pink Floyd, the Beatles, and Led Zeppelin. Their version of Pink Floyd's "Echoes" is particularly notable, having been released as a single and earning them a Grammy Award.

An interesting fact about the LSO is that they are the only orchestra to have been awarded the Queen's Award for Export Achievement, in recognition of their efforts to bring classical music to the world.
