The Magic Band Vinyl Records

The Magic Band is an American rock band formed in 1965 by Captain Beefheart (Don Van Vliet). The band is known for its eclectic mix of blues, avant-garde, and experimental rock. The Magic Band has had a wide range of members over the years, but the most famous lineup was the one that featured Don Van Vliet, Mark Boston, Gary Lucas, Jeff Cotton, and John French.

Their most acclaimed album is Trout Mask Replica (1969). It is considered one of the most influential albums of all time and is often seen as a precursor to punk rock. The album featured some of the band's most well-known songs, such as "Electricity", "Ella Guru", and "My Human Gets Me Blues".

The Magic Band's other standout albums include Safe As Milk (1967), Mirror Man (1971), and Unconditionally Guaranteed (1974). The band's sound has evolved over the years, but its experimental and avant-garde spirit remains intact.

An interesting fact about The Magic Band is that they were originally called the Soots. They changed their name to The Magic Band after Don Van Vliet said it sounded more magical.
