The Master's Apprentices Vinyl Records

The Master's Apprentices were an Australian rock band formed in 1965 in Adelaide, South Australia. The original lineup consisted of Jim Keays (vocals, harmonica), Mick Bower (lead guitar), Glenn Wheatley (bass guitar), Peter Tilbrook (rhythm guitar) and Rick Morrison (drums).

The Master's Apprentices had a string of successful hits in the late 1960s and early 1970s, including "Living in a Child's Dream" (1970), "Turn Up Your Radio" (1970), "Undecided" (1971), "Because I Love You" (1971) and "Elevator Driver" (1972).

The band's most successful album was Buried and Dead (1971), which was recorded in London with producer Tony Clarke. The album featured their biggest hit single, "Because I Love You", which reached #1 on the Australian charts.

The Master's Apprentices are widely regarded as one of the most influential Australian bands of the era, and have been credited with helping to create the "pub rock" sound of the 1970s.

An interesting fact about the band is that they were the first Australian band to be signed to a major international record label, when they signed with CBS Records in 1970.
