The Nice Vinyl Records

The Nice were an English progressive rock band active from 1967 to 1970. They were one of the earliest bands to fuse classical and rock music and are seen as a precursor to progressive rock. The original line-up consisted of Keith Emerson on keyboards, Lee Jackson on bass and vocals, David O'List on guitar, and Ian Hague on drums.

The Nice's debut album, The Thoughts of Emerlist Davjack, was released in 1967 and was critically acclaimed. Their follow-up album, Ars Longa Vita Brevis, was released in 1968 and featured their most successful single, "America", which became a hit on the UK Singles Chart. The band's third album, Nice, was released in 1969 and featured the iconic song "America" and the single "Diamond Hard Blue Apples of the Moon".

The Nice's fourth and final album, Five Bridges, was released in 1970 and featured the track "The Cry of Eugene". The album was well-received and is considered a classic of the progressive rock genre.

An interesting fact about The Nice is that they were the first progressive rock band to play at the famous Isle of Wight Festival in 1968.
