The Plastic Ono Band Vinyl Records

The Plastic Ono Band is a musical group formed in 1969 by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, to promote peace and international understanding. It was initially a one-off performance art project that was intended to be a symbolic gesture of protest against the Vietnam War. The group released their debut album, “Live Peace in Toronto 1969”, in December of that same year.

The Plastic Ono Band went on to release a number of highly influential albums, including “John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band” (1970), “Sometime in New York City” (1972), and “Milk and Honey” (1984). The group’s most successful single, “Give Peace a Chance”, was released in 1969 and reached number two in the UK singles chart. Other notable songs include “Instant Karma”, “Power to the People”, and “Happy Xmas (War is Over)”.

An interesting fact about The Plastic Ono Band is that they have collaborated with a number of other artists over the years, including Frank Zappa, Eric Clapton, and Elton John.
