The Style Council Vinyl Records

The Style Council was an English band formed in 1983 by Paul Weller, formerly of The Jam, and keyboardist Mick Talbot. They were one of the most successful British bands of the 1980s, and their influence can still be heard today in the music of acts like Oasis, Blur and Arctic Monkeys.

The Style Council's debut album, Café Bleu, was released in 1984 and included the singles "Speak Like a Child" and "Long Hot Summer". Their second album, Our Favourite Shop (1985), was their biggest commercial success and featured the hit singles "Shout to the Top" and "Walls Come Tumbling Down". Their final album, Confessions of a Pop Group (1988), featured the singles "It Didn't Matter" and "The Lodgers".

Some of The Style Council's most iconic songs include "My Ever Changing Moods", "Shout to the Top" and "You're the Best Thing".

An interesting fact about The Style Council is that they were the first British band to perform at the former East German city of Dresden in 1988. They were also the first British band to perform in Poland after the fall of Communism in 1989.
