When the legendary Clive Davis signed the just 20-year-old Alicia Keys to his label J-Records in 1991, he once again proved his immense flair for future stars. Her debut album earned the singer with the truly breathtaking voice four Grammys and three dozen platinum awards worldwide. Album number 2 "The Diary Of Alicia Keys" followed in 2003 and sounded even more mature than its predecessor.
Reviews
J. Ziemer in Rolling Stone 1/04: "The wunderkind is back. Once again the New Yorker has written and produced almost all the songs, and of course she plays the piano herself. The songs are refined and perfect, everything as before, but the sound is different. Where there used to be a coffee table, now the funk is getting ready."
