Camera Obscura – Let's Get Out Of This Country

The wonderful "Camera Obscura" from Glasgow have so far largely led a shadowy existence in the international pop scene, even though they have already gained a loyal fan base worldwide, including the great John Peel. However, this could change with "Let's Get Out Of This Country", as the sextet around frontwoman Tracyanne Campbell delivers such a brilliant work with their third album that the band may soon be one of the top acts in intelligent, melodic "retro modern pop".

The album, recorded in Sweden and produced by Jari Happalainen (The Concretes, Ed Harcourt), is a wonderfully well-rounded collection of varied pop gems that are so beautiful you'll want to listen to them again and again!
