Ultravox

Ultravox is an English new wave band that formed in London in 1974. The original members of the band were Chris Cross, John Foxx, Robin Simon, and Warren Cann. They are considered one of the most influential and pioneering bands of the new wave movement.

The band's first album, Ultravox!, was released in 1977 and was a mix of punk and electronic music. This album featured the band's most successful single, "Dancing with Tears in My Eyes," which reached number 12 in the UK Singles Chart.

In 1980, Ultravox released their second album, Vienna, which was a more electronic-oriented album and spawned their most successful single, "Vienna," which reached number 2 in the UK. The album also featured the singles "All Stood Still" and "Passing Strangers."

In 1981, the band released their third album, Rage in Eden. This album saw the band exploring a more synthesizer-driven sound and featured the singles "The Voice" and "We Came to Dance."

In 1984, the band released their fourth album, Lament, which was a return to their original sound. This album featured the single "Dancing with Tears in My Eyes," which reached number 6 in the UK Singles Chart.

In 1986, Ultravox released their fifth and final album, U-Vox, which was the band's most successful album, reaching number 3 in the UK Albums Chart. This album featured the singles "Reap the Wild Wind" and "Hymn," both of which reached the top ten in the UK Singles Chart.

An interesting fact about Ultravox is that the band was the first to feature a synthesizer on the cover of an album, with their 1980 album Vienna.
