Vikki Carr is an American singer and actress who has achieved success in a variety of genres. She began her career in the 1960s as a traditional pop singer and later became a successful country and Latin recording artist. Her biggest hit was the Grammy Award-winning song “It Must Be Him” in 1967.

Vikki Carr has released over twenty studio albums, including her signature album It Must Be Him (1967), which featured the aforementioned hit single, and The Ways to Love a Man (1969), which spawned the hit single “With Pen in Hand”. Her 1970 album, For Once in My Life, featured the hit single “The Lesson” and was her first to chart on the Billboard 200.

Vikki Carr has also released a number of Latin-inspired albums, such as Simplemente Mujer (1985), Cosas del Amor (1989), and Ese Hombre (2001). Her most successful Latin album was the double-platinum 1984 release Ms. America Latina, which included the hit single “Total”.

An interesting fact about Vikki Carr is that she is the first Latin artist to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
