"Recurring" is the last album SPACEMEN 3 recorded before their breakup in 1991. The future that followed was already beginning to emerge, the first side of the album was written by Pete Kember aka Sonic Boom, and already sets the minimalist direction he would take with his "Spectrum" works and with EXPERIMENTAL AUDIO RESEARCHThe second side goes to the account of Jason Pierce, who goes a little more epic ways than his congenial partner. His material includes effects and blues style riffs that were the birthplace of his band SPIRITUALIZED. Connecting the two sides is a cover of MUDHONEY's "When Tomorrow Hits" which further illustrates what a fantastic band SPACEMAN 3 was at their strongest. This is a sound that has lost none of its relevance.
