The "Blues Joint Collection" compiles music from the most famous pillars of the blues whose works from the mid-60s onwards provided the template and inspiration for and inspiration for countless rock artists and later generations of blues masters.
Lightnin' Hopkins, one of the most influential blues guitarists from the state of Texas, used his unique fingerpicking guitar style to alternate single-note Leads with rhythm and bass guitar and added percussive elements, by strumming or tapping the body of his guitar. The album Lightnin' from 1960 presents him in a trio format, backed by Bassist Leonard Gaskin and drummer Samuel "Sticks" Evans.
