Sevdaliza – Shabrang (2xLP, Grey Vinyl)

In just a few years, Sevdaliza established herself as an iconic, highly creative, versatile and independent artist who has since landed on many celebrity moodboards. Her stunning video for the track "HUMAN" of her debut has collected over 25 million YouTube views to date and the masterpiece "Shahmaran" about spiritual slavery has won 2 UK Music Video Awards. Sevdaliza has toured 35 countries in the last 2 years and has gained thousands of fans worldwide. (Spotify 200.000, Youtube, 300.000, Insta 230.000).

Now Sevdaliza is back with her follow-up album "Shabrang". The term "Shabrang" comes from Persian mythology and although there is no direct translation for it to capture its essence, the Farsi phrase "Shabrang" means "the color palette of the night". This "palette" is visualized in the tones of Sevdaliza's blue eye on the album cover. The blue eye represents years of physical and emotional turbulence. In Sevdaliza's words: "This album represents for me that the essence of everything for me is love. It is a deep letter to myself, my own bible that I have to write in order to trust and believe in life. I trust in myself and my character as a human being."

Sevdaliza was born in Iran and lives in the Netherlands. She is now known for her strong independent force in the creation of her art. She is a producer and engineer, an independent art director with a critical eye for detail and storytelling and a unique songwriter. Her music is described as "genre bending", drawing on a variety of genres including alternative electronic, indie, trip-hop, alternative R&B and avant-garde.
