Wilco is an American alternative rock band formed in 1994 in Chicago, Illinois. The band consists of lead singer Jeff Tweedy, guitarist Nels Cline, bassist John Stirratt, multi-instrumentalist Pat Sansone, keyboardist Mikael Jorgensen and drummer Glenn Kotche.

Their first album, A.M., was released in 1995 and is considered one of their most popular albums. The album featured a mix of country, folk, and rock, and contained some of their best-known songs such as "Misunderstood," "Passenger Side," and "I Must Be High."

Their follow-up album, Being There, was released in 1996 and featured a more expansive, psychedelic sound. The album contained some of Wilco's most beloved songs such as "Outtasite (Outta Mind)," "Sunken Treasure," and "Say You Miss Me."

The band's third album, Summerteeth, was released in 1999 and featured a more pop-oriented sound. The album contained some of Wilco's most popular songs such as "A Shot in the Arm," "I'm Always in Love," and "Can't Stand It."

Wilco's fourth album, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, was released in 2002 and is widely considered one of their greatest albums. The album contained some of their best-known songs such as "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart," "Heavy Metal Drummer," and "Jesus, Etc."

Their fifth album, A Ghost Is Born, was released in 2004 and contained some of their best-known songs such as "Theologians," "At Least That's What You Said," and "Spiders (Kidsmoke)."

Wilco's sixth album, Sky Blue Sky, was released in 2007 and featured a more mellow, acoustic sound. The album contained some of Wilco's best-known songs such as "Either Way," "Impossible Germany," and "Hate It Here."

Wilco's seventh album, Wilco (The Album), was released in 2009 and contained some of their best-known songs such as "You Never Know," "Wilco (The Song)," and "You and I."

An interesting fact about Wilco is that their album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot was rejected by their record label and the band released it for free on their website before it was eventually picked up by another label.
