Blink-182 hasn't released an album with the original lineup of Mark Hoppus (bass, vocals), Tom DeLonge (guitar, vocals) and Travis Barker (drums) since 2011. When DeLonge left the band in 2015, the pop-punk paragons pushed forward, putting out two albums with Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba in his place. Come Oct. 20, 2023 the band's dynamic will shift back to the way things were, following an emotional reunion with DeLonge. In a teaser video for the album, Hoppus didn't hold back, calling it "the best album we've ever made."

The trio recorded One More Time... throughout the course of 2022 amid their blockbuster reunion tour, which sold out arenas, amphitheaters, and stadiums across the world. One More Time... features 17 new songs that capture the band at the top of their game, layering in themes of tragedy, triumph, and most importantly, brotherhood.

As the band explains in the trailer, it was Hoppus' bout with lymphoma that inspired DeLonge to rejoin the band. "I remember telling my wife, ‘I don't think I'm ever going to play music again, I don't think I'm ever gonna tour again,'" DeLonge says in the clip. "Until Mark told me he was sick, and then I was like, that's the only thing I wanted to do."

Similarly, after the band initially broke up in 2008, it was Barker surviving the plane crash that killed four people (including DJ AM) that catalyzed their reunion at that time. The album's first single and title track, "One More Time" touches on how tragedy brings the band back together, Barker said.

"I wish they told us/It shouldn't take a sickness/Or airplanes falling out the sky," Hoppus sings on the single. One More Time... also includes the group's first reunion single, "Edging."
